    the inconsistent size of curly fries is the best part. Love getting a string of one entire potato and then a bunch of short crispy ones.

    same with crinkle and steak when they're good they're good but when they're bad they're inedible and way too many places have bad ones so I'm always like fuck this better be good and then I'm sad

    They're great. I actually like thinner fries and rarely enjoy steak fries but I'm not a huge roast potato fan either. I like crispy, salty, thin fries, so shoestring fries are definitely up there. Plus, as I mentioned, I hate ketchup for dipping so shoestring fries are good on their own to just start shoveling away at.

    I agree with this except that curly fries are good because of the seasoning. Whatever they season curly fries with, put that shit on regular fries too. Why is it curly fry exclusive? Give the straight fries some of that lovin'.

    It's not user error. Curly fries don't have the tensile strength to hold themselves up, so you have to eat them from below. They're beloved because, as Helloelloallo said, they're seasoned. and they are good. If I go to Arbys i'm getting curly fries, but the entire time I'm eating them I'm just thinking there needs to be a better way. And the better way is to throw out the whack shape and just season a better kind of fry.
