I went to a Chili's for the first time over the weekend and it was great

 

never had a bad time at chilis

 

Chili's was an absolute staple in high school and I'll always love going there. The chicken crispers are nowhere what they used to be but still better than most places tenders

It was always my favorite of the 'sit down chains' and I used to always get the Cajun Chicken Pasta. My buddy worked there and told me how the sauce came in a bag, the pasta was never made fresh (duh), and the only thing cooked to eat was the chicken. Never cared, still don't care. Maybe I'd eat it today and find it gross, but nostalgically, I love it.

 

my fondest memories of chili's are from when i was 21, making way too much money doing sales at AT&T and had a Chili's literally next door, so I ate there all the time

 

what was your favorite item on the menu?

 

I feel like i got those chicken tenders every single time. like maybe I'd get a bacon cheeseburger but rarely

they also had cheese curds at one point (maybe still do? it's been a long time since I've been) and I'd get those too

 

They're chips and queso is also top tier

 

There's a place near me that makes this and it was disappointingly mid

 

I haven't been to a Chili's in years but it's mostly because I keep forgetting I have one near me rather any sort of dislike for it. I do remember it being solid as far as chain restaurant food goes

 

The Santa Fe sauce was good

 

Taro is amazing and the West really needs to focus on it. One of the best pastry fillings.

Also, peanut butter is great on burgers.

 

Gansitos are a super underrated snack cake.
