They're faster if you microwave them but definitely not better. Trick is to parcook them in the microwave and finish them in the oven or airfryer to get the skin crispy. We barely have them anymore because we don't have a microwave and they take so damn long to cook otherwise.
I love sour cream and onion chips, but man do I hate real sour cream. I always order nachos without it
Baked potatoes rock. Microwave that puppy and throw some butter on there, a little bit of shredded cheese. I don't mind when they get a little crispy tbh
I haven't had a potato formation I've disliked Panera is stupidly overpriced. I like their cinnamon crunch bagel tho
I only really like potatoes if they’re crispy fries, chips, or crispy hash browns. Also like gnocchi and potato bread and stuff but that doesn’t really counts Everything else is not for me.
Baked Potatoes are so versatile and filling. A great baked potato almost feel like you are eating mashed potatoes out of a crispy potato skin bowl.
Baked potatoes are the worst potato. Most other ways to cook them are superior. They're big in England (called Jacket Potatoes - isn't that cute?) and the last time I probably had one was there and I left 25 years ago. Though it brings back gross memories as one of the most popular ones, and one my sister ate all the time, was a tuna filled one. Individually, 2 great things, but together, not so much. Steamed / mashed / roasted / fried etc.
If it's been seasoned with olive oil, salt, and pepper and gets a little crispy in the oven, then for sure.
loaded tater skins w/ a little sour cream or tots in general are the best form of potato for me. Haven't had a baked potato in like a decade. I'd probably say mashed is the worst form of potato for me. Steak fries also suck but I'd still eat them if they're in front of me most of the time.
smooth creamy mashed potatoes are wonderful. Lumpy dry mashed potatoes are not very good but still edible
I'm willing to bet 90% of the stuff people in here say they hate is because they've never had a well made, properly seasoned version of it.
My grandma made the creamy style and her "secret" was adding sour cream and chive chip dip. It was heavenly.
