I do not know what a pepper belly is, nor have I heard the term 'walking taco', but I have heard of frito pie and it's gross. I like chili, I like cheese, I like fritos, but the idea of just slopping all that shit up in a bag is a little unappealing. It also reminds of the Netflix doc street food when they did a bit on all the Doritos bags filled with food like that (but x10 with the amount of slop added to the bag - hot sauces, peppers etc), and they asked a Mexican guy how they have iron stomachs and can eat all that without adverse side effects. He laughed and said they don't, and that they all have diarrhea and it's just expected when you eat that food.
Damn, I thought even though we can't agree on what to call them, we could all agree they're delicious. Guess not.
I didn’t know this was a thing until my girlfriend (also from Pittsburgh) mentioned having them at their high school football games. Absolutely not a thing in New England.
There is this ghost kitchen I found of Jason's Deli on grubhub that I have become obsessed with. Its called Boise Bill's. Its all different kinds of loaded Baked Potatoes. I usually go with the chicken bacon ranch or the beef chili one, but they do have some weird ones. For example they have a shrimp gumbo baked potato, a meatball parm baked potato, a turkey & ham club baked potato, and a bacon & eggs baked potato.
the jasons deli closest to me closed, it's a bummer. They're not great but i crave it sometimes. Like a cheaper panera
Boise Bill's is pretty cheap too. Just a regular loaded baked potato is like 10 or 11 bucks, and the special ones are like 12 or 13 and they're gigantic too.
I had to get Panera for breakfast the other week because I was on antibiotics and they were the only place open at the time that had anything with Greek yogurt in it. Just a regular sized yogurt smoothie and a small souffle was over 20 bucks.
baked potatoes rule but I don't do the fancy ones. I just like a little butter, salt and pepper. and I eat the skin
yup got mediterrean bowl thing at a ohio reststop panera and it felt like including olives nearly doubled the price. like 15 bucks for that and still felt hungry after.
my roomate years ago who may have been the laziest person i ever met taught me so i was skeptical at first but its true
