haha I guess Im just strange. I like mayo on crab cake sandwiches. I like mayo on a hot turkey breast with lettuce/tomato sandwich. Ill sometimes crock pot sausage and peppers/onions without tomato sauce and eat them on a hoagie roll with mayo - bangin. Roast pork is great with the jus but also a roast pork with broccoli raab and mayo is amazing. Ive got mayo probs man.
Hey, I get it. I'm one of those people who will get a tuna sub and ask for lots of mayo on the bread lol. I really glob it on there when making tuna/chicken salad too.
reminds me of my roommate in college that would get a steak and cheese with gobs of mayo and pickles. gross
Obviously we can’t agree on mayo, but I think we can all agree that bread and butter pickles are trash
when I was a kid the only pickles I liked were sweet gerkins but I'm now a highly cultured and civilized member of society so I only eat dills.
Agreed on the dill pickles being the best, and there are so many good brands these days. Grillos are super good as are Cleveland kitchen. I don't really mess with the variations (spicy, extra garlicky etc). I just like a straight up, tangy, crunchy dill pickle. I don't can, but I have gotten into quick pickling but haven't quite gotten it to where I like it yet compared to store brands. Anyone got a good homemade recipe for spices, sugar/salt ratio, / vinegar type etc?
My college cafeteria had a sandwhich station with pickles that were just very slightly sweet and they were so good. I can’t find anything like that anywhere. It’s either disgusting bread and butter or no sweet.
