It's Grape jelly and chili sauce, throw it in a crock pot, and it basically just makes a BBQ sauce. Serve them as appeteasers.
How does everyone feel about pepper jelly? It’s kind of becoming a thing around here and I’m afraid to try them
That jelly crock recipe rocks with slices of kielbasa too. One of my family's go to dishes for gatherings.
I have heard there are some small pockets of the south where people make fried liver with grape jelly on it. I saw it on a Bizarre Foods once and it always fascinated me.
am I the only one that finds Bizarre foods a bit problematic in retrospect? Like all these cherished regional culinary traditions, and a show for dumbass Americans just to be like "lol eww that is fucking weird as hell"
To be fair, if you showed the rest of the world cherished American regional cuisines I think most non-americans would have the same reaction.
True I have heard especially the concept of cottage cheese to a lot of non-western people is vomit inducing.
I'm all for a nice salad or homemade vinaigrette, but sometimes I'm craving just a ranch-ass iceberg from a diner.
