Almost every soup I’ve seen go into the fridge gets a weird jello texture to it and eating that seems wild to me but
Zebra Cakes were always my favorite. I also got these things called Donut Sticks when I was on the road once maybe like 15 years ago and never saw them again
The key to storing soup is to stake the ingredients out and store it separate from the broth. Otherwise all the ingredients soak up the broth and get all soggy and weird
If there's the weird jelly layer I won't do it, but I don't make many soups that have much fat in them. But I'll also eat most leftovers cold, especially pasta. I'm not saying anyone should do it, but it happens, especially now that we don't have a microwave. But cold Chinese, Thai, and pizza are bomb regardless.
I had a dream about a new little Debbie snack because of this thread and probably the wine I had last night.
