@Ken what would you recommend I buy for basic cookware like skillets/sauté pans, pots? Trying to find the balance between affordable and somethin that’ll work well/last you can dm me if you want since this is kinda not food related. Moving into an apt and gotta buy literally everything haha
I'm the wrong person to ask this. I have a random collection of cookware and little of it is expensive. HexClad and Made In are probably the two hottest brands right now. I'd definitely consider buying a HexClad non-stick pan. I haven't used any of their products though. If you want to blow some money, All-Clad is arguably the best way to do so. Made In is nice like All-Clad, but slightly cheaper. Lodge makes good, affordable cast iron cookware. I've always read that tri-ply cookware is as good as 5-ply, so I would skip paying extra for that. Tri-ply fully-clad stainless is the way to go, if not, then I prefer regular stainless to non-stick. I think you'll find what you're looking for from Cuisinart or Goldilocks. I haven't used goldilocks, but it is newly popular and well reviewed. Staub and Le Creuset make very high quality cast iron cookware too. I know next to nothing about this brand, but it is also well reviewed: https://www.tramontina.com/kitchen---dining/cookware/cookware-sets I doubt you'll want carbon steel, but that's an option too. thanks man, this is great! If you happen to have a knife set Rec that’d also be sweet haha no need to do research, only if you have a few off the top of your head
It's really a topic for a different thread but I'd like to think I turned out relatively okay despite the abuse he put me through. I haven't spoken to him in years and I'm keeping it that way. Anyway, back to food opinions. I like a lot of BBQ foods but I was never able to get into ribs. I don't eat a ton of pork to begin with, but something about ribs just always seemed.... offputting, and I can't figure out why. I don't think it's the bones because I have no issues eating chicken wings.
