When my dad would take me hunting as a kid we'd go to Dairy Queen a lot. The increase of DQs was like the sign we left the DFW metroplex and were heading to nowhere.
A coworker told me his favorite treat is an M&Ms blizzard and I'm gonna be real, I just don't understand, they get so hard in the ice cream, it's a textural nightmare. Like an ice cream with chocolate pebbles
they're still really good. vanilla and peanut butter are excellent. black and white is still the best though imo. I love the texture. The pieces break into smaller pieces during the mixing process. I greatly prefer them to the cups. A year or two ago DQ had a reese's extreme blizzard with both, but then they fucked it up with chocolate ice cream.
I've said it before in the Doughboys thread, but if you think In N Out fries are bad, you need to grow up.
The last real diner in my town finally closed. They need to make a law that protects diners as a cultural resource and prevents them from being turned into overpriced brunch spots. State mandated pie rotating glass cases!
So I was recently telling my friends how my mom used to take me to the hospital just to get breakfast in their cafeteria when I was a kid and they thought that was weird. Its not that weird. Hospital food isn't that bad, plus it was a la carte style.
Every town should have an old school rail car diner. I love diner food but the only place close to us is the Maine Diner which is good but pricey and always busy as fuck.
diners rule. always assumed they were as common everywhere as they are here on long island lol, honestly nothing beats a good diner breakfast on a weekend, everyone wants to go out and get fancy boozy eggs benny brunch bro take me right to the diner for a better meal.
Shellfish usually gross me out unless its like stuffed quahogs, I wont touch a raw bar for the same reason, salmon has a weird taste to me raw or cooked, and lobster is just nasty. I'll pretty much eat any other seafood though. I could eat cocktail shrimp all day and fried fish burritos might be my favorite food in general.
