Throw some cream cheese frosting between two cinnamon graham crackers, whip them shits in the freezer and you have an amazing low-effort homemade sandwich cookie
Idk man, I've had some really great fresh made macarons from the French bakery near me. Gotta make sure you get the right flavors. Italian butter cookies on the other hand are nasty. The blue tin Danish ones are one of my favor things during the holidays tho.
I’ve only had those trendy colorful looking instagrammable ones from places that probably overprice them and likely don’t make them “correctly”, if there’s a traditional way to do so. So with that said I’m with Ken, macarons are very forgettable. Shit is cardboard sugar

pickled red jalapenos (or Fresnos) and roasted onion if that's a little out there, then maybe just some green pepper? lol They're not worth the time and effort. I've had gourmet macarons before and they're fine, but they're also boring imo
