lol I'm pleasantly surprised as I figured Lazarus would sweep this whole bracket effortlessly. Handshakes and the OLG B-sides are far more interesting songs.
Lazarus is an amazing song. Handshakes is, well, literally the first Circa song I ever heard and also Anthony kills it.
Indra's Net 1,000 Witnesses 100 Steps (Demo) Airplane Dance (Demo) Battle, My Love Lazarus (rough matchup) The Most Dangerous Commercials (like every way acoustic better) Awake In A Dream Battle, My Love is getting destroyed
Indra's Net 1,000 Witnesses Backmask Stare Like You'll Stay Sleep Underground Handshakes At Sunrise The Most Dangerous Commercials Suspending Disbelief
That'll do it for round one! I have a tie to break. I enjoy both of these songs, but I think that Lazarus is the better song of the two and it was great seeing it live on their Violent Waves tour. Round One Final Totals: Indra's Net - 7 Dark Pools - 11 1,000 Witnesses - 17 Nobody Can Change - 1 Backmask - 13 100 Steps (Demo) - 5 Stare Like You'll Stay - 15 Airplane Dance (Demo) - 3 Sleep Underground (Demo) - 14 Battle, My Love - 4 Handshakes At Sunrise (Demo) - 9 Lazarus - 9 (10) The Most Dangerous Commercials - 12 Every Way - 6 Suspending Disbelief - 16 Awake In A Dream - 2 -------------------- Round Two: 1) Dark Pools vs. 1,000 Witnesses 2) Backmask vs. Stare Like You'll Stay 3) Sleep Underground (Demo) vs. Lazarus 4) The Most Dangerous Commercials vs. Suspending Disbelief
Lazarus doesn’t do much for me. The chorus kills all the momentum of the decent verse. The end is like a generified House of Leaves moment but 5 years later on Atlantic Records.
Current Totals: Dark Pools - 1 1,000 Witnesses - 9 Backmask - 3 Stare Like You'll Stay - 7 Sleep Underground (Demo) - 2 Lazarus - 8 The Most Dangerous Commercials - 3 Suspending Disbelief - 7
