Our date of the VW tour was canceled because Anthony had to get air lifted to the hospital touche/balance played a show that night at a small venue instead and it ripped.
It shocked me to hear the the VW cycle was a real dark period for the band and has this really “worn out” narrative surrounding it, because that tour was honestly the best I think I’ve ever seen them play
All this BSN talk got me to rejoin their Patreon and grab the stems for that record out of curiosity. Shit... they really need to do a remixed/remastered BSN, like yesterday. Just mixing the stems down sounds SO MUCH BETTER than the record on the heavier tracks. The most surprising thing is that many of the vocal stems are shockingly clean and Juturna-like. It's like they EQ'd the shit out of those and then butchered with various obnoxious FX/reverb for good measure. I'd always seen BSN as the big dropoff point for AG vocally, but now I think it was only 25% real and 75% dumbass production choices.
