Your Brackets Are Gone (Circa Survive Bracket) Bracket

Starting Monday 10-5-20



We'll have 8 rounds leading up to a championship bracket.

The 8 rounds will be:

1) Juturna
2) On Letting Go
3) Blue Sky Noise
4) Violent Waves
5) Descensus
6) The Amulet
7) A "Catch All" round consisting of any other songs not covered up to this point
8) A Wild Card round consisting of the 7 runners-up to this point

A couple other items to touch on...

Covers as well as demo or live versions of songs will not be included.

Also, I envision each round lasting a full 24 hours and keeping rounds open for 48 hours during the weekend. Typically the site is a bit slower on weekends, so hopefully that gives people enough time to get their picks in.

Having said that, if all of the matchups in a given round are too lopsided I may start the next round earlier than planned. I will try to give everyone advance notice so that anyone who would like to vote has the chance to do so.

If you have any feedback for how this is set up, please speak up before this starts and I'll take it into consideration.

I've only ever gotten into Juturna and Blue Sky Noise, but I really enjoyed the last bracket I jumped into so I'll play along. Maybe this will help me get more into their other albums too.

 

Good opportunity to round out some of the songs by them I don’t know quite as well, so I’m in

 

I have to imagine you’ll find at least 4-6 songs on the other albums you’ll love, and I’ll venture to guess you’ll love all of On Letting Go and The Amulet.

 

I don't know what it was but something about OLG didn't grab me when it came out but I've never revisited it. Definitely over due to go back to it.

A few other quick items of business since it's been a while since we've had a bracket here...

1) All of the matchups are completely random.

2) I won't vote unless a tiebreaker is needed.

3) My plan is to keep each round open for roughly 24 hours during the week and 48 hours on the weekend.

4) And last but not least, any songs not covered in the album rounds will be part of the "Catch All" round. When we get closer to that I'll ask for everyone's input to make sure that we have everything covered.
