    She haunts the roads

Literally no idea if this is will appeal to anyone else but me, but hey, I figure it's worth a shot.

Last August, I moved to Los Angeles from the Pacific Northwest. Although I've been having fun and have access to way more shows out here, I still get homesick for my old haunts sometimes. One afternoon, I thought of comparing my list of concerts I'd seen in LA with the shows I would've been able to see if I'd still been living in the PNW.

I've seen 40 concerts so far this year. Here's what it would have been back home...

1.) The Wonder Years/letlive. - Hawthorne Theater, Portland, OR (03/16)
2.) Weatherbox - The Vera Project, Seattle, WA (03/27)
3.) Third Eye Blind - Roseland Theater, Portland, OR (04/12)
4.) Say Anything - The Showbox, Seattle, WA (04/30)
5.) Motion City Soundtrack - The Showbox, Seattle, WA (05/06)
    6.) Eve 6 - Dante's, Portland, OR (05/27)
7.) The Cure - Sunlight Supply Amphitheater, Ridgefield, WA (05/28)
8.) letlive. - El Corazon, Seattle, WA (07/27)
9.) Weezer/Panic! at the Disco - Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA (07/29)
10.) Julien Baker - The Vera Project, Seattle, WA (08/10)
11.) Warped Tour 2016 - White River Amphitheater, Auburn, WA (08/12)
12.) Showbread - Analog Theater, Portland, OR (08/20)
13.) Disturbed (Pain in the Grass 2016) - White River Amphitheater, Auburn, WA (08/21)
14.) Deftones - Cuthbert Amphitheater, Eugene, OR (08/27)
15.) Turnover - The Crocodile, Seattle, WA (08/28)
16.) blink-182/A Day to Remember - Key Arena, Seattle, WA (09/17)
17.) Cute is What We Aim For - Wonder Ballroom, Portland, OR (10/11)
18.) Kanye West - Key Arena, Seattle, WA (10/19)
19.) Lil' Dicky - The Showbox, Seattle, WA (10/21)
20.) Yellowcard - The Showbox, Seattle, WA (10/26)
22.) Failure - The Crocodile, Seattle, WA (10/27)
    23.) Sum 41 - The Neptune, Seattle, WA (10/29)
24.) The Wonder Years/Moose Blood - The Showbox, Seattle, WA (11/02)
25.) NOFX - Showbox SoDo, Seattle, WA (11/03)
26.) Descendents - The Neptune, Seattle, WA (11/09)
27.) Jimmy Eat World/Empire of the Sun (Deck the Hall Ball 2016) - Key Arena, Seattle, WA (12/18)

If you have another part of the world you wanted to see shows in, feel free to throw your list up!

    music is all we got

This is a cool idea! I'm from the PNW as well and it's definitely rough having so many tours skip us. I think the Northeast are the luckiest when it comes to touring shows, because almost no tours will skip NY/PA/MD/NJ/etc and they're all just a few hours away from each other too, so if they skip your town you can travel a relatively short distance. When tours skip the PNW the closest show is at best eight hours away, which sucks. Thanks for sharing!

Haha, thanks man! I do relate to the number of tours that skip that area! On the other hand, I also think I might not have quite the crippling concertgoing habit I have now here in SoCal! :crylaugh: We don't miss much, although I agree with you that the Northeast seems to have a slight edge.

The nice thing about living in Olympia, WA is that - even though it's a drive - it's about an equal distance between both cities, plus a ton of college friends moved to both cities, so I have places to crash!

Would love to see your list, man! If I don't see much more activity, I might try moving this to the Music Forum.
