Haha that would be an awesome concept. To be honest tho I think the slime season name is being thrown around because that was when he was at his most popular. He realizes that the sound on Jeffery and BTG weren’t what fans were used to from him so I believe he’s trying to go back to that sound, at least partially.
Thugger fans should always expect the unexpected. I saw him live last weekend and he was very enthusiastic about Jeffrey/BTG tracks, maybe even moreso than the B6/SS tracks he played. Audience also was lit the whole time, ate every bit of it up. Honestly, I don't think he can do wrong at this point. If SS4 were just 6 tracks of acapella, i'd still fall in love with it.
Getting excited for a Thug project based on a title announcement is a losing game, just ask Metro Thuggin, Migo Thuggin, HyTunes, the second Young Martha EP, etc etc etc
Yeah until thug himself tweets the title and the date it’s just speculation. And even after thug himself tweets the title and the date it’s still just speculation lol That London tweet was originally retweeting a tm88 tweet by the way
I'd prefer Jefferey 2, if we're talking stylistically, but as long as Thug keeps putting stuff out, I don't give a shit what he calls it.
My favorite Thug song since it leaked prior to SS2, can’t see that changing anytime soon. If you haven’t heard this get familiar!!
So it's not new Thugger or anything (though Louis B's new song Celebrate with him is fire af, as is Gunna's tape featuring him), but I think Thug fans would really appreciate Supa Bwe. I never really gave him much of a listen before his new tape Finally Dead. It's pretty fantastic. Dude's got an idiosyncratic vocal style and a way with melody that reminds me of Thug. His lyrics range from comparing himself to black Goku, to existential dread, to quoting Weezer--he owns his style completely. The beats are also glossy, strange, dark, and enormous sounding. Highly rec'd.
