It kind of feels like he's finally reached a boiling point where he's going to make the cross over leap. He set off momentum when he was at Yeezy season 3, hes on the usher song, this is being universally lauded, he's got the Travis Scott song...just feels like he's about to make the jump we've all been waiting for since 1017.
I really hope so. This album feels like a statement of how versatile he can be while still appealing to his fans.
To me this feels like the appetizer before the debut album, which means, if that is the case, that the album is going to be truly breathtaking. He is having a hell of a year and next year is looking even brighter.
Need to check this out... I've listened to some of his stuff with friends, but from what it sounds like this is getting really great reception and is one of his best, so probably a good "entry point" as far as really diving in.
Is Travis Scott being added to Floyd Mayweather, the only musical change on the album? (I realize there was a title change too)
No Young Thug song will ever top "Power" for me. This tape is pretty good though, I have been enjoying this quite a bit.
Travis has already been added on Apple Music. His verse is abysmal. Now that I've listened through like 7 or 8 times, Webbie is the clear standout. This is so good front to back though.
this is the first time Young Thug has "clicked" with me. LOVE LOVE LOVE this mixtape. listening to Barter 6 right now for the first time as well, no idea how I never liked this before.
i want to write about the surprising prevalence of Big Head Mode visuals in music videos, starting with the "with that" video and concluding with 2 Chainz' "watch out"
Does this not kinda overlap with all those Hype Williams vids in the 90's? Thinking Missy and the Busta vid for "Gimme Some More" in particular
