I love this mixtape and Slime Season 3. I was listening to his mixtape with Rich Homie Quan for the first time last night and I have a question that might seem ignorant. I get that the n word is a slur, but I understand the reasonings of why it's used in hip hop. But the gay slurs are kinda problematic to me. Do fans acknowledge this is a problem in these songs, but think the rest of the artist's great discography outweighs the bad tracks? Or am i over thinking it?

Unfortunately, most rap lyrics are problematic.

 

I mean if you're expecting people who grew up in the projects and the worst parts of their respective cities to be cognizant of how those things are problematic I got some news for you. Not an excuse but think about where these guys are coming from for a second

At least the first track on the Young Rich Homie Thuggin. I haven't listened to all of Thugger's songs.

 

...nevermind. I looked it up and he's saying falcon. The way he annunciates words, it sounds like the f word. How embarrassing and awkward for me >.>
My question still was legit though, since I've heard other rappers use it.

 

This is definitely better than Slime Season 3. It's probably on par or better than Barter 6. Definitely need plenty more time.

I love the album cover and I think it's cool to see who his idols are. It seems like he's experimenting more with his sound on this.

 

yeah this is way better than ss3, i only ever listen to like the first half of that anyway. this is probably his best straight through project since b6.

 

im not sure if youre listening to this on a streaming service that someone bootlegged it onto, but the thug x RHQ mixtape is titled Tha Tour Part 1 and is billed to Rich Gang. you might wanna DL it somewhere else because usually when things have weird knockoff titles like that the quality is worse and the tracklist might not be real.
