Caught up just in time for the two new episodes. Each season has been better than the one before, like its themes are, in a way, growing up alongside its characters and audience . It's nice to have something like this that's geared towards older audiences but not in the same way something like Invincible is.
oh shit i forgot i bought that third season on dvd!! i still haven't watched it yet; the first two were legendary. is this show still in production?
I'm a dummy and didn't realize I never watched season 3. Started it up. As I said in my last post, there are wayyyyy too many characters. I'm kinda glad season four scaled this number back, even if its still a lot. lol
It's nice but also a bit odd that this season has been almost entirely on Mars so far, usually they do a lot more jumping around and it's less focused. The credits scene for that last one, though.
Also Tara last season. It's nice to have these variations after seeing the film adaptations of The Killing Joke and The Judas Contract.
idk if it's been confirmed anywhere but it seems like every four episodes is centered on a different character from the opening sequence; the image on HBO Max is now Zatanna, so I'm guessing there's a pretty good chance she's next starting with tomorrow's episode.
Been enjoying this season. Appreciate that as the show and its characters mature over seasons, so does the writing. It has dealt with some hefty themes in this first bulk of episodes.
I thought the resolution to the Cheshire arc didn't make much sense. Maybe I just don't like R'as as a character.
I liked this episode, finally got a chance to really get to know Zatanna's students. But also what the heck was that credits sequence.
Huh, it looks like Zatanna's arc is five episodes, concluding with next week's. And apparently the season is 26 total, not 24. So it'll be 4 Superboy/Miss Martian, 4 Artemis, 5 Zatanna, then a similar structure for the second half with Nightwing, Kaldur, and Rocket (not necessarily in that order). Wow, this episode was a mess. Way too much going on. Kind of distracting, really. It looks like they're setting up for Zatara to sacrifice himself to resolve this conflict, I just hope they treat the emotional core of this arc with the level of care it deserves.
Man that last episode was sure to lose a lot of people, but as someone who actually watched Green Lantern TAS, fuck I was so surprised and I loved it.
Not to raise false hope, but the source article for this only states there are currently no plans for Season 5, which is not the same thing as never having plans. I'll wait for an announcement from Weisman before pouring out a beer.
