Young Jesus releasing a new EP & touring (stream “Baked Goods”)
@Cody Nelson @Joel if you didn't listen to this last you you guys should now
I like this a lot :)
omg omg omg
"Oranges" rocks. Will definitely check the rest of this out. Nice look.
The song that's streaming from the new EP is great, need to go check out the rest of their stuff now.
Funeral Sounds is one of the most consistent labels going around.
just realized they're putting this out through funeral sounds, that's so so awesome
really glad that there's finally a recorded version of baked goods
also, i wouldn't be surprised if they end up working with exploding in sound or s/t in the future, they fit perfectly with that whole aesthetic imo
i wish pope was coming here :/
I have listened to the new song a lot
:~) very very excited about this release and very excited to share what FS has in store for the next couple months now that i am finally out of the hell that is high school. thank you so much for the kind words.
Void As Lob officially released today. stream it here / purchase a tape from us here if you feel so inclined. also have some portable tape players for sale if you wanna pick one up with your tape.
such a good band... their debut hasnt left my listening rotation lately.
EDIT: OKAY I WAS WRONG WHATEVER BUT GROW / DECOMPOSE IS REALLY GOOOD NOT DEBUT
not their debut, lol, first record came out in 2012
unless that's what you're talking about
@cwhit also, change your user tag thing from whatever that is to emo scrooge.
Home is a good record too
Grow / Decompose is realllllly good. they're working on another full-length right now that i think they'll be recording after tour? gonna be dope.
"Hinges" wow. could do without the burrito line haha but fantastic otherwise
recorded version of baked goods is good but pales in comparison to how they play it live
don't think i've ever seen hinges tho, hmmm
also v bummed that i've seen this band probably six times since the release of g/d and have never heard emp, g, or slug live ://////
Grow/Decompose has been hitting me hard lately. I want everybody to love/listen to this band and I still thank @nothingsforeverdude for the recommendation
they're in philly literally three days before I move there
tour kickoff show was :') :') :')
What was the set like?
all songs i didn't know, apart from every little landscape and baked goods
there's this really cool song they've been ending with the past couple times i've seen them that starts with a harmonic guitar riff, really excited to hear that song
also everyone that played was my favorite act to play at some point. whole lineup was just so good
