Ok “Pattern Doubt” is their best song right?

I laughed when Hyden dropped a DMB reference but he wasn’t lying. Sounding like they brought Leroi Moore back to life.

I am not a living crisis but I'm learning how to breath
How to feel and how to tell my friends and family what I need
I know the music of the winter time
But to the spring I give my love and life

I had been listening to Gulf like once a week for the past year until I finally really looked them up a few months ago.. Really love their last record. Definitely listening to this first thing tomorrow morning.

  16. I have a bunch of reviews that I've been writing that should go live before this but this one just hit right today and gave me the surge of motivation to finish this first so expect something to read about this record tomorrow!

this album feels like a victory lap to me and imo is (somehow) by far their most impressive display of musicianship and features their most compelling songwriting to date.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

The two songs to end this thing are just stellar. The back half of Lark reminds me of some Phish-y bliss and I'm all for it.
