Let’s gooooo. So good. Can’t wait for the Steve Hyden and Ian Cohen pod talking about this record. They at least teased they would be discussing it and that both love it.

 

I enjoyed the first episode of that

 

Yea I thought it was really good as well. I thought Ian comparing Arcade Fire to Pearl Jam was spot on.

 

Was never really able to get this band but (un)knowing REALLY got me. I’ve listened to The Whole Thing four or five times now and I THINK it’s starting to click. Either way, really excited for the new one

 

"The Whole Thing" is fantastic, classic. I doubt this album will outdo it for me, but I'm interested to find out.

 

S/T, Whole Thing, Conceptual Beach (I’ve heard almost 20 mins of music, let’s be real, it’s gonna be great) is such a great run so far.

 

Grow/Decompose is fucking excellent too. tho I didn’t give it a shot until like 2 weeks ago

 

Yeah G/D has probably their best lyrics to date if I’m being honest.

the video that got me to check out G/D that first time, cause i always started with S/T.

In some ways Grow/Decompose is still my favorite. that album was very important to me

I’ve just finally been getting into their stuff. Had heard The Whole Thing is Just There a few times and I’ve been keeping up with these singles, but now I’ve been gradually making my way forward from the Young, Innocent, & Hairy EP. I actually got to Grow / Decompose today, which is very good, much better than Home imo (which is my least favourite so far.

i fucking love this band so god damn much

as it should be cuz this is one of the three best records of the year

 

Yeah, I only got to listen once to my record that came in yesterday, but it blew me away. It goes in so many unexpected directions (e.g. "Pattern Doubt"), and they pull it off wonderfully.

 

this album is a trip. what an absolutely special band doing some cool shit.

 

Just started my first spin. Was not expecting “Faith”.

so far the pressing is a little noisey after a cleaning. I swept it too. But outside of the pops it actually sounds pretty good. The music is fantastic obviously.
