as fucking awesome as they are, seems like they’re pretty universally regarded as exploratory and subsequently inaccessible, not super surprising they haven’t gotten on more peoples’ radar quite yet

The probably isn't needed here, ha. Without things like the Clifford Ball, we might not have modern festival culture. What other band can do 13 nights at Madison Square Garden and play 237 unique songs? It's unprecedented how they've been raising the bar decade after decade. Not trying to derail by the way because this album is really great.
