I feel like I have not nearly absorbed it yet lol

 

Thing is extremely dense

S/T is one of my favorite albums, so.

 

Not even super sure what I would compare this to tbh. Maybe lenses alien era cymbals but even more meandering. @jordalsh is that reasonable or am I making things up?

at first i associated it with perfect from now on era built to spill cause one of the write ups mentioned built to spill and it got in my head, but yeah lenses is totally pulling from that record too and i think lenses makes more sense as a comparison

 

Blown away

 

This was really dense and really fucking good. Cant say much beyond that. This requires multiple close listens. Excited to dig deeper into this beauty.

 

imagine going into the studio with a six minute song and leaving with a twenty minute song

 

there is so much to unpack here it's really incredible

 

first listen and i was, as expected, blown away. each track is such a ride.

 

For Nana is perfect

Feel like with the last two records they've cemented themselves as one of our greatest current bands and I have no idea why they continue to slip through the cracks

As someone who plays music, their ability to improvise and feed off each other is staggering

 

I've listened to Gulf many more times than I've ever expected to listen to a 20 min song.
