I wasn't expecting anything from them until mid 2019 at the earliest, but I'm not complaining! 1. Deterritory 2. Saganism vs. Buddhism 3. Fourth Zone of Gaits 4. Bell 5. For Nana 6. Gulf Pre order link: The Whole Thing Is Just There
what excites me the most. they're so good a drawing out their songs in a meaningful way that doesn't make it drag.
I've listened to this song so much today. Might be my newest most anticipated for the rest of the year.
Eh. I guess it’s really whatever your perspective is. I think emo is Wonderful. Wouldn’t it be reductive to put any artist in a genre defining box? I hear emo/indie rock/post punk/noise rock. But also don’t feel the need to have to list them all out every time I talk about the band....seems silly. Emo tends to be one of the earmarked genres that people perk up to and go “they’re not emo”, as if ashamed. If I would have said indie rock, probably wouldn’t have heard a thing.
my weird thought I had a few times while listening to this for the second time is that this is what it might have sounded like if Jimmy Eat World had gone further down the Goodbye Sky Harbor rabbit hole on the follow up to Clarity. For Nana is so beautiful
