An album like this has to be listened to multiple times to be understood, and I am totally okay with that.
damn, haven't finished yet but it's really really great. spot on with the death cab comparisons too, they're pulling from a lot of different influences than they previously did
that's interesting. I feel like the sound of The Photo Album is comparatively stripped down compared to the layers on this album. In terms of production it reminds me of later Death Cab, but the songwriting, I think you're closer than I am.
