ohhhhh, i've been wanting to see Free Throw!! and i missed YBI on the TBS tour, this would be amazing. @cwhit do you know if the CA date was like, socal or norcal?
hope they come back to Bottom of the Hill when/if they hit the Bay. seeing them there with Tiny Moving Parts and Rozwell Kid is one of the best/fondest memories of any show i've been to
wasn't sure about all get out since i don't listen to them but i knew they had a reunion so they must have /some/ following etc. thanks!
Second time through this thing today, still really dont like it unfortunately. "Autotheology" is to me, the clear standout track. Nothing else on the record comes close to it melodically in my opinion aside from occasional guitar riffs in the middle tracks. I really wanted to dig this thing, maybe I eventually will, but honestly it comes off very disjointed and unsure of itself.
Yeah, I mean, I recognize my opinion as minority, if not singular, lol. Glad it's being received well overall.
Autotheology is my favorite on this too, but I've also had that the longest. This album is their best yet imo. Pioneer of Nothing set up Tanner branching out vocally really well
this is one of my favorite records this year. "Like Myself" and "Sundial Song" are standouts. i love the guitar work throughout, Tanner's vocals, and the tone they went for; it's really a step up/progression from Pioneer of Nothing.
To me this is their best complete album but there are songs off of Grow Up Dude and Keep Doing What Your Doing better than anything on this album but there are songs I may skip around on those albums.
I like Grow Up, Dude but it seems like a lot of people really LOVE that album. Terry v Tori is a jam though
finally got my LP in today (after taking twice as long as it was supposed to) gonna spin that tomorrow morning aw yeah
This album is unequivocally their best yet. The singles make it seem like their worst. Terrible choices which probably hurt sales.
