Anyone feel this is a top 10 for the year early?

 

feel that way a lot of the time when hype is high for a new record.

First thing I'm listening to since Trump won, kind of helping at the moment because it's really good.

Really enjoying this after one listen. They have yet to disappoint.

 

Listened to Greenwood just now and I can tell Evan's hands were all over that song. The keys and atmospherics on that song sound like it came off of Standards.

I love how varied this record is. it goes places i really didn't expect

also I recognize a Standards influence at several points throughout

 

Yeah. Those keys really tuned me in.

Don't worry if you didn't like Standards this isn't like a 2.0 of that or anything. There are just some production elements I can tell came from his sessions.

 

the really annoying thing about the name of this album is i can't get my echo dot to play it at all.

I basically say "alexa play the album pretty years" and it will play pretty years by cymbals eat guitars on my speakers. it won't recognise saying abendrot lol

 

What about the newest you blew it album? Maybe that will let its programming know that look up YBI and then the album with the latest release date? Not sure how complicate of computing t does with what you said.

 

Tried it and nothing. I'll have to dig in and see if there's a way, it's no big deal since I can just tell my phone to play it from the echo. Just means I can't call it to play on a whim.

this feels a bit more like grow up dude to me on first listen. i like it.

This is so good. This band is on top of it's genre.

 

Anyone noticed how similar the opening to Greenwood is similar to the opening to Newton Colony by Dryjacket? V cool
