I will try that next time. Edit: When I listen to it, I just want to sit YG down and explain to him gender roles.
i actually haven't paid attention to those lyrics, are they as bad than ty dolla's "horses in the stable"? since that's the most aggressively gross song i've heard recently
Never paid attention to the lyrics in "She Wish She Was" until now but what a mess...I wish the beat itself wasn't wasted on the awfulness of those lyrics.
"B****** gon' be acting like Bruce but they wanna be Cait" The song also just feels largely out of place on the album.
Wish I was liking this more. Only on my second listen but it didn't hook me enough the other day that I felt compelled to listen again. It's good, but nothing is sticking with me the same way as anything off MKL.
Agreed. There's good songs here, but I liked his debut better. Big pros on this album vs the last one are the political leanings and "Who Shot Me". The singles are cool too--they feel a bit more specific to YG's West Coast sound than all the DJ Mustard-helmed ones on the last album, which got a little repetitive for me.
