I like his production on Strive, Whole Lotta Lovin and Don't Hurt Me but I don't think he's onto something as good. I remember him saying his new sound was gonna change music or some shit lmao

 

the joke hannibal buress made about dj mustard production when i saw him justified his existence entirely

 

the funniest thing is still mustard saying he wanted to do big tours without making edm, because no rap producer had really done that before

p sure that's my favorite hip hop record of the year it came out, though i remember it being a relatively light year in the genre

mkl and honest were prob the biggest rap albums of 2014 (subtracting 2014 forest hills drive and pinkprint)

I called it better than GKMC after my first listen and people mocked me. Stand by it

They're pretty close but imo I'd still give GKMC the edge. Both excellent records though.

Yea this album is good. A nice follow up to MKL. Though not quite as good, I love that he's sticking with the g funk sound.

 

Think this is a very natural progression from MKL, excited to spend all summer with it.
