I know this is pretty trivial and probably entirely on me but I ordered the “fine art print,” as described on yeule’s IG, and I was not expecting it to come rolled up and just be standard shitty poster quality. Kinda bummed tbh.
Not surprising given the singles but this is by far their most accessible album. Very straightforward, yeule sounds more human than ever; pretty Polachek-esque at times. It’s also very good albeit slightly less interesting to me on first listen than the last one, but that is also one of my favorites of the past few years.
This singles haven’t caught me as much as the last two records. Hopefully a full listen will change that.
Eko is probably still my favorite pop song of the year, the “Ooh oh ohhh oh oh” part for the chorus sends me every time
I think the title track was the only single I had heard properly and it had me expecting/hoping for a different album. I think this is mostly fine with a few very good songs.
It's been steady downward trend since Glitch Princess (my fav) imo but the proceeding albums are still good.
