The one thing missing from chorus.fm in this economy is a good place to talk about Yes. Yes! Finally! Yes!

Have an opportunity to see Jon Anderson live next week and all of the videos of him are goddamn jawdropping nowadays. Dude is 80 and somehow hitting notes even more strongly and powerfully than he did in the classic period. Unbelievably excited and have been rinsing their discography nonstop all week. The run from Yes Album through Going for the One is one of the best consecutive runs of all time in any style of music, and even a lot of the later stuff that gets dogged on is pretty good. Really Open Your Eyes and Union are my only straight up skips with Anderson (haven't gotten to the stuff after his removal yet)

Would love to get some Yes talk started! Say yes to Yes chorus!

watching jon rn and in absolute disbelief at the extent to which the man still has it holy hell. the new songs sound incredible too, fit right in with the classic work

Just heard one of the songs from his newest album yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised, was really high-quality. Gonna check out the whole album soon, need to revisit classic Yes albums too, been a long time for me

  4. I need to do a full discography run soon. I love the early '70s albums but haven't heard anything after Tales From Topographic Oceans in full.

relayer is up with close to the edge for their best and going for the one isnt too far behind. drama is also excellent despite anderson's absence. their reception gets spotty after 90125 but i find the ladder and magnification to both be excellent late career gems

it's really good! probably jon's best album since 1977! jammed it for the first time on the way to the show and almost couldnt believe how close it comes stylistically to the days of old, closer than yes's own attempts to do so have
