So many of these "mega huge totally important plot points!!!" end up getting resolved so quickly and quietly that I can never even remember what happened lol. Like there was that thing where they were investigated for shooting those tagged wolves from Yellowstone National Park and it seemed like they were absolutely fucked. The park service saw the tracker tags all go down at the same place when they tried to dispose of the wolves and....... then I can't remember if anything even happened lol.
It is weird that this is the popular show in America and I still have to wait until the finale leaks to be able to watch because I don't have cable.
Gotta admit the Elsa Dutton from 1883 voiceover near the end gave me the goosebumps. Bringing it back to the beginning. Touching move.
Sheridan definitely set up the 6666 and the Rip & Beth spinoffs here, and I think what Lloyd said he was gonna do is gonna tie into The Madison series, but I got a feeling the way Ryan's arc ended was setting up a country music based spinoff we haven't heard about yet. The ending for both Kayce and Beth kinda reminded me of John Marston's ending in RDR2.
Great finale; tied up everything really well. Great to see the reservation get the land back; was a powerful image seeing the big Y on the barn come down. Wonder what kind of show Beth & Rip will have.
Absolutely. It wasn't perfect, but I think it was a good finale all things considered. Plus, how many shows actually really nail the finale? It's tough to do. Breaking Bad is the main one that comes to mind (as well as Better Call Saul).
Also I didn't care for how they ended it with Jamie, I mean I knew that outcome was coming but annoyed with how they portrayed him during it. I feel like throughout this series they were building him as a hugely flawed but complex character, but in the end it felt like he went out like a stereotypical evil mustache twirling cartoon villain.
I feel like his end was mostly down to Costner's exit from the show; because of Jamie's involvement, his cartoony death was a foregone conclusion.
This season I kept thinking "man Wes Bentley would make a great villain in a superhero movie " but just found out he already did play the villain in the Nic Cage Ghost Rider movie.
Yeah, I enjoyed the finale for what it was. It was extremely fitting to bring it back full circle with the Elsa Dutton voiceover at the end. I guess, knowing what we DO know, this felt less as a series finale and more like the closing part of a chapter while also introducing new storylines to look forward to. Yeah that Ryan ending was so completely out of left field to have such a focus on, to show more than 30 seconds of that i refuse to believe it was for nothing. I'm sure we'll see him again. Also haha, I never bothered to imdb him and I kept wondering what I knew him from and I finally did and was like HEY TEEN WOLF PETER HALE. The RDR2 ending is a extremely apt. I didn't see the 2 and thought it read 1 and was like...............................:[ Oh well, looking forward to continuing on in all the shows that are coming! Glad to know we ARE continuing cuz these characters have been fun. Also I need more TS ribbing on Jimmy. And now Teeter haha.
Yeah, that for a lot of screentime. We haven't heard anything but it wouldn't surprise me if TS wanted to get fan feedback from the ending before announcing anything because it feels like it was meant to get us talking about it amongst everything else.
Yeah like Walker was a much bigger character of the ranchhands throughout the show than Ryan was and his ending arc was like a quick 2 second mention about following his girlfriend on the rodeo circuit. Ryan got a whole ass 5 minute scene.
Lol exactly, like why was it HIM of all the others to get such a long scene when there were others who were bigger parts of the ranch? So much screentime given, it has to mean SOMETHING. I wanna say he got more screentime than Jamie if you don't include the fight scene haha.
I just took that as I’m Taylor Sheridan and here’s my famous friend Lainey Wilson because I can do that
