Watch them try to go into some Game of Thrones territory and have someone come out of the woodwork claiming to be a long lost Dutton who is the rightful heir to the ranch. haha.
Why are they acting like Texas is Alaska when it comes to cold. I mean maybe it gets “cold” in North Texas but nowhere near as cold as Montana
Certainly hope Ford makes it past what happened to him in the 3rd episode, haha. That would be really weird to pay his huge salary, only to get rid of him by 3rd episode
Finished season 1 of Yellowstone. Now I'm doing 1883. Sam Elliot in 1883 is my favorite performance in this universe so far.
Finished 1883, now I'm starting 1923. Still not too sure how this timeline and family tree will add up with Yellowstone. Interested to see of they'll find a way to make it make sense. Because I am confused.
1883 was amazing and loving 1923 so far, Bummer Yellowstone has suffered but clearly the prequels are getting Sheridans full attention
We gotta be getting at least one more direct prequel. My prediction is if there is another it'll be 1973 and it'll be a Cormac McCarthy-esque western where we'll get more background on James' dad, Lloyd, Wade, ect. I want Sheridan to do every subgenre of western in his career. Give me a Sheridan space western, give me a Sheridan horror western, give me a Sheridan kung fu western, give me a Sheridan steampunk weird western.
Knowing how batshit successful each show has been, I'm sure Paramount wants to keep the Dutton-verse going as much as possible. The 6666 ranch in Texas, where Jimmy currently is, is (I think) supposed to get it's own show sometime in the next year or two. And assuming 1923 remains really successful, I'm sure Paramount will also want a 1973-esque show to fill out that part of the timeline too. Regardless, Sheridan has set himself up for the next several years pretty well
Got to the end of season 3/start of season 4. Goddamn. Can't imagine watching week to week and waiting after that cliffhanger.
Not that I think it will play out this way, but my joke here got me thinking this might actually happen with Jamie. They've been vague about who his mother was and about her connection to the Duttons... What if maybe Jamie is still a Dutton through one of those other lines (Jacob, Spencer, etc.)? Not sure what the implications of that would be though lol
Yeah I feel like there is some kind of twist having to do with Spencer and the Dutton lineage coming in 1923. The narration from Elsa saying "James Dutton had two sons but only one of them would carry on the family line" or something to that effect tipped me off. Watch Jack and his wife raise Spencer's son as their own or something like that.
Yeah, that too. haha. She said "My father had three children - only one would live to see his children grown." I would say that's pretty obviously John (who just died) but implies that Spencer at least has children as well. I could see your theory also being correct whether or not that has anything to do with a potential lineage shakeup. Jamie's biological father says something about how his "birthright was stolen". You assume that is to mean that as the adopted son of John that he was the eldest son so he should have inherited the ranch above Kayce (until they kicked him out).... but that could be a red herring and he could actually just be entitled to the ranch in his own right.
