Oh weird - I thought it was 8 am on the showtime app - that’s when I usually do this and Dexter.

 

The book club moment was one of the best moments of the whole show.

 

I never liked Jeff until that moment, now I love him. His line reading on, “That’s weird,” in the same scene absolutely killed me.

 

Yep and it gets released on the app 12am Sunday morning wherever you are too. For example fans in Australia have already seen the finale because it's early Sunday morning there already.

 

This is already getting award noms. Nominated for both Drama and New Series categories for the 74th Writers Guild of America Awards.

Definitely not beating out Succession for Drama, but has a shot for New Series. Up against Hacks, Reservation Dogs, Only Murders In The Building, and Loki.

 

Jeff is so interesting because at first I assumed he had just married Shauna out of convenience/obligation but he just seems like a dumbass who loves his wife now

 

I like that Jeff is basically just Matthew Lillard on Good Girls, someone who was the hottest guy in high school and peaked then but he also doesn't seem bitter, I can see him genuinely liking selling furniture

 

Letting the official soundtrack on Spotify go on to songs picked by the algorithm radio mode gives you some good ideas for the soundtrack in the future. I actually had a suspicion that the chainsmoking lady that said "that could have been me" in the pilot was Allie

 

Oh fuck great finale. the big twist there at the end was not THAT huge/mindblowing, it was essentially the scenario that everyone on Reddit thought was going to happen, the only thing they got wrong is that most thought was going to be Jackie in the present timeline pulling the strings reveal instead of you know who. It still very satisfying ending though. Excited for season 2.

I think some will be disappointed with how it ended for Jackie, and will say it was anti-climactic but I didn't mind it. she was the Ned Stark season 1 of GoT of this show essentially

All I have to say is I’m very upset

 

I'm glad i remembered Coach Scott's line while he was on shrooms in episode 9 of " Holy shit...love...love is everything..it's the whole the reason why we're here. Go find Travis and tell him how you feel. it can save us all!" because the Nat and Travis' season 1 flashback arc ending with them proclaiming their love for eachother while being positioned as the main resistance against Lottie in season 2 thing felt much more meaningful remembering that.

 

Definitely didn't expect Jackie to die like that. Don't love it, don't hate it. Thought it was a good season finale though. Gonna suck waiting for the next season lol
