Felt a little obviously that the husband wasn't cheating. The mushroom stuff got bonkers fast. Curious if Misty is letting on about the cannibalism stuff.
yeah i got a weird feeling that the cannibalism stuff is a slightly a red herring or misdirection (i'm assuming everything in this show is a red herring at this point) because the general public at large assumes they did that anyway. The way Misty was willingly playing into that narrative with Jessica makes me think we're going to learn there is stuff way darker than just cannibalism that happened. Or maybe the general public just assume it's an "Alive" eating the dead to survive as a last resort scenario and don't know the ritualistic cult sacrifice part
Jasmin Savoy Brown (Young Tai) and Liv Hewson (Van) are going to be debuting their own podcast produced by Netflix soon.
Also i love everytime this cast does a singalong. It just highlights what i believe makes this show work so well and sets it apart: The young cast all have incredible chemistry with eachother and obviously had an absolute blast making this show and it translates naturally on screen.
Idk I’m the lone soldier - this ended up being way different than I thought or anticipated. It’s just there for more. Wife loves it though.
Trying not to read anything beyond where I am at the moment, but I’m in episode five right now and it’s really addictive. My only real complaint is it’s a little too on the nose with the Lost references sometimes. I totally agree that it captures some of the magic of tuning into that every week to confirm or deny theories, I just didn’t love when they found a plane that might as well have had heroin Marys inside and then immediately ran into Jacob’s cabin. Lol. Is it assumed at this point that Tai’s son is being stalked by someone they left behind in the woods but who didn’t actually die? I don’t love the idea of going full supernatural in this, and I’m frustrated with how he’s being completely ignored by his parents when talking about the bad woman, so I’m sort of hoping that gets explained quickly and he gets some help. I’ve been betting that Jackie dies “first” and in some way that will be particularly ironic or upsetting, but she would also be a great candidate to come back in the present as a surprise since she’s been such a focus so far. Some I Know What You Did Last Summer connection would fit pretty well given the pop culture references and the general story. I knew as soon as we saw them hook up in the car that Shauna would end up pregnant in the wilderness, and now that she’s late I’m just wishing they’d rip the bandaid off quickly because I know everything involving the birth and the child will be horrific. Also even with everything else happening that’s super disturbing, Misty and the coach makes me want to puke and I need that plot to be over. I’d rather watch the plane crash for an entire episode than see anything else there. I’ll probably catch up in a day or two. Can’t wait to be able to read everything and watch the finale as it airs.
Shauna wearing a Yo La Tengo shirt helps answer my question is do the Yellowjackets listen to all the cool 90s indie rock besides Nat
I thought when Misty found the black box that it was a hatch and I was praying for my boy Desmond to pop out.
While this is objectively true, I feel like this show has a tonnnn of word-of-mouth momentum going for it into the season finale.
Yeah seeing all the word of mouth buzz this has been getting i'm willing to bet this gets on a major third party streamer way sooner than most Showtime shows do. This is definitely going to be Showtime's flagship series after Billions eventually ends and i'm here for it. Also Showtime has some bangers in the pipeline for 2022 (Man Who Fell to Earth, American Gigolo, Talented Mr. Ripley). Showtime in general i think is going to have the most momentum this year they've had since the early 2010's.
Remember if you have the Showtime app you don't have to wait to watch it while as it airs on sunday night Most of us here are probably going to be watch as soon as it get posted 12am est early Sunday morning
I’m literally leaving my friend’s birthday party early on Saturday to go watch it. Sorry Jarrett but this is more important
