The finale of S2 was the worst non show finale...maybe ever. Most shows, season 2 is when the show typically takes off and the cliff hanger is usually a banger. This was the opposite. A non sense sloppy finale, continuously making everyone unlikable, and just sooooo much jokes in the adult world. They killed off the actress who clearly didn't want to be in the show....but unfortunately, she represented everyone's favorite kid character (the moral compass) who is now, the leader of the cannibal cult And they take these ridiculously long breaks.
1. Unlikable is not unwatchable or uninteresting. I genuinely have no clue what exactly you mean here so this may have nothing to do with it, but the need for characters who are women to be likable is such bullshit 2. I don't think Natalie being everyone's favorite is even remotely true, that's quite the assumption 3. Actor availability, strikes, etc etc 4. Is this the only show you watch
I actually don't really get invested into too many shows, but the premise and season 1 got me instantly hooked....so yeah season 2 being such a let down and them taking another super long break...yeah it sucks
Nothing to do with gender here....and you can do a show with anti heroes, of course....but you need someone to root for, and for a while, I thought that was Natalie (the kid).
More and more shows are taking ~2 years between seasons. It's not uncommon anymore. Unless this is the only show you watch.
Do what I do. Stop watching stuff. And then in a few years go through Netflix or whatever and you’ll be like “wait what?! There’s SIX seasons of Yellowjackets now?! I only saw the first two! Guess my week is booked up now and I am so satisfied and I love life!”
Yeah! It fucking sucks! But I just thought about it, other than Stranger things and white lotus there really isn't anything I'm waiting for (and this...a show that I had high hopes for)
Honestly.... yeah. I think a lot of people do that now. I dont start a show thats intended on being multiple seasons, unless there's multiple seasons already released.
As a fan of those and also other HBO shows like House of the Dragon and The Last of Us, in used to the loooooooong wait now. But I agree it does suck. Apple also has extremely long waits too, Foundation and Invasion just off the top of my head were both 2 years. Severance is about to be 3 years wait. Amazon and LotR. Yeah it's becoming more and more common.
