I’m just bored. There tonal shifts are starting to grate on me. Not big on some of the effects/production choices. I could go on but it’s really just treading water for me.
I’m the opposite, this was probably my favorite episode of the season so far. Shauna desperately trying to keep in control at the auto shop was ridiculously good. My heart was pounding just watching her. And Misty going full Gollum in the bathroom was hysterical. Love their dynamic and Ice Storm reunion. Also the aforementioned diner scene. So many funny moments in addition to some of the saddest yet with Ben losing the will to live/his grip on reality.
My only only critique is that the more they stretch the story then the more it will feel likes irs dragging. Like if they already have 4 solid full seasons mostly thought out, cool, but if this is something tbags only 2/3 seasons worth and they're stalling than that gets annoying. But yea s2 is starting off quite strong I'm so all good
I like a slow build, and all of the wilderness storylines are so compelling, and the adult stuff is better than last season. They’re doing really good at building up the characters from both sides.
Sophie Thatcher. She was also fun in the Book Of Boba Fett as a cyborg mod gang girl. She is also starring in an adaptation of King's The Boogeyman coming out this June.
Fun fact: you know that scene in Avengers where Tony Stark points to a SHIELD agent and is like "that guy is playing Galaga!" that guy was Warren Cole who plays Jeff.
Also just can’t appreciate Juliette Lewis anymore after she went on Twitter to defend Danny Masterson and threatened his accusers
Juliette is easily the weakest of all the adult cast acting wise. As I said earlier there are some lines of her's where I can't believe that was the final take they went with.
I get no emotion from her scenes, while young Nat is probably the most emotional performance in the whole cast.
This was alright. Kind of another filler episode. The stuff with Lisa's home life was a slog to get through. The wilderness stuff still is so much more interesting than the adult stuff. Javi's return and adult Van should make next week a big one though.
This show is impeccably cast, but Sarah Desjardins’ portrayal of Callie being one of the strongest performances this season wasn’t on my bingo card
The cucumber scene with Callie turned surprisingly wholesome. Every scene with Elijah Wood and Christina Ricci is magical. When Lottie was going down that tunnel, I thought we were going to have a hatch from Lost, but it was a fake out.
Lol man I'm confused. Like, who dies? So much of the "main girls" are still alive?? Thats the issue with doing the back and forth format. Wirh every reveal like this one it makes you go "....so that one also survives and doesn't get eaten" Yes. Definitely filler episode. This is why I'm afraid of this going toooooo long.
Maybe I’m in the minority but like…how tenable is it to keep adding and adding plot lines and things to explain without resolving any first?
I’m a massive Twin Peaks fan, so the pace and prolonged mystery is not bothering me at all. I try to enjoy the ride, while it lasts. Last episode didn’t feel like filler to me especially with the Callie stuff. Also, not even sure how one can call something “filler” without knowing the full story, how the events of this episode play into things once we have full context.
Why I get so annoyed. I did enjoy this episode though - at least as a separate entity - no real idea why lol
