It becoming more and more obvious every episode now that punji stick girl is going to be Mari, since they're going out of the way to show her being antagonistic to everyone

 

I joked early in the episode that the cremation wouldn’t work and it would accidentally cook Jackie perfectly. And that’s pretty much exactly what happened.

Also love the Laura Lee cameo, bunch of weirdo scenes in this one. I don’t trust Lottie at all but I love that they’re giving her just enough plausible deniability.

 

He is so screwed. Could feel his terror at the end there. Oh my god I’m going to be thinking about this one for a while.

 

this episode rocked. very creepy.

 

absolutely iconic needle drops in this one, Inertia Creeps and Climbing Up the Walls were so good. also that Laura Lee scene scared the shit outta me

 

I like that this episode dispelled any notion that some fans had that there was going to be a split with some Yellowjackets opposing and not taking part in the cannibalism. They were right away like nope they all (besides Coach Scott) took part in eating their dead friend with little hesitation.

 

much as I enjoyed this episode I'm not sure I'm really interested in this Nat/Travis/Lottie love triangle. especially since we already have a love triangle arc with the first two in s1 lmao. it's a little much

also "what if I wanna vape until my head falls off" is one of the worst lines I've ever heard but that was likely intentional

I was thinking about this last night after watching because I definitely wouldn’t be able to get through filming this scene without the need to throw up.

Callie is around 17 years old, so she was def lying about her age at the bar.

 

that would make more sense of why her boyfriend’s mom was going to make them pancakes.

 

I thought it was so rude that she just ditched her friend who we've never seen before

 

The Yellowjackets cast could barely make it through this scene because they felt like they were eating a real person…and you’ll never guess why!

I can't believe I was this right about something.

 

Cool that the music in wilderness parts is changing as they get into the next year. Nice reminder that they're in 1997 now by playing a track of what is considered by many to be the best album of that year.


Do something off Either/Or or The Lonesome Crowded West next.

 

Can’t stop reading about this episode and came across this interview with Jonathan Lisco wherein he spoils a small thing about episode three. Obviously the “hangover” fallout effect of how those girls feel the next morning will be a spiral, but for one of them, Taissa, she won’t remember it at all because apparently she was Bad Taissa when Snackie occurred.

Ok this makes sense in that Tai lecturing Shauna about desecrating Jackie's body and then taking part in something way more fucked up

Okay one more. I just read this post episode interview with Tawny Cypress and she had this to say about the end of the season:

Is there one thing on the Reddit boards you read that you really enjoyed?

Oh, gosh. So many things. I really can’t say if they’re true or not. But, they’re not. Nobody has gotten it right yet. There are a lot of theories out there. I think what people are going to see is actually going to blow their minds. And some people are going to hate us. Some people are going to fucking hate us by the end of the season, I think, unfortunately. The adult storyline is tough.
