I'm very squeamish and the horror elements are like at most 20% of this show but it can get very gory at times
It's a slow burn right now. Hasn't really gotten into the heavy scary/gory stuff yet, but has teased that it's getting there quite a bit.
I wish there was more discussion around this show in general. So many theories and thoughts and not a lot of people to talk about them with so far lol (besides the Yellowjackets Subreddit which is pretty horrible so far and filled with shit takes). I'm confident as soon as this show hits a third party streaming service it'll find a much wider audience and following much like Billions and Shameless did though.
Obviously, most of them are going to die out there but I think some of them will be left behind in the wilderness too. I'm expecting some serious occult horror over the remaining five episodes. I have absolutely no idea what's going on with Tai's son.
Yeah it’s been a great season so far and it’s just been building. I was watching an interview with the cast recently and one of them implied there is already a fleshed out story for multiple seasons which is reassuring.
Any ideas of who the Antler Queen is going to be? I still think it's Jackie. Tai maybe from the stuff we saw on the present this episode. I think Lottie is a Red Herring. Laura Lee is 100% going to be eaten no doubt about that.
I think Laura Lee could be the Antler Queen. Religion is a hell of a thing in these kind of stories. They could flock to her after the possession scare. I'll be pretty shocked if it's Jackie. I don't think they respect her anymore. It'll either be Tai, Shauna, or Laura Lee. Lottie is the one being chased in the opening scene of the pilot.
One theory I read that I thought was interesting was they will be split up by "Wolves" and "Rabbits", essentially predators and prey. Notice the Rabbit references Shauna has made and all the Rabbit knick knacks she has in her house. EDIT Rewatching the pilot. In the very first scene with adult Shauna the "reporter" asks her about the rabbits in her garden. "poor little guys, just trying to survive i guess". That's some bold ass foreshadowing if this theory is correct.
It's def going to very fun to go back and watch the present scenes to pick up on clues once we learn more about what happened in the wilderness.
The necklace thing is totally a misdirection my dude. That thing is going to be changing hands like the ring in The Wire until they finally reveal who it is.
That's too obvious. That girl falls in the pit in the winter. We're still months away from that. Jackie gave it to Shauna for good luck on the plane and then she just got it back. Odds are she's going to give it to someone else.
I'll be mad if the writing on this show is that on the nose. I'm with Night Channels, i think it's Lottie.
I'm just glad we found out how Shauna is in the present she wasn't always a pushover and we saw how Jackie wasn't a natural born leader
Were you on Wikipedia? I misread it as that too when I was looking up the cast but it’s just that the younger actor’s name isn’t linked to anything so it’s easy to miss. Also I think this may be my favorite show ever already. Everyone pls encourage the world to watch it because if it gets canceled before season 5 I will die
Rewatched the pilot last night. I'll say this had probably the most impressive pilot episode of a TV drama since Mr Robot.
This is the first show in a long line of Lost-alikes that actually remembers what was good about Lost.
The first show I thought of when they mentioned they already had a full story written for multiple seasons. As good as Lost was, it felt like they weren’t sure what to do with the story after the first couple of seasons.
