Wish there was more resolution. The place they bury the torso is a place my girlfriend and I hike almost every weekend. lol. Our dog better not find a body.
That was definitely a real vision and not Shauna’s dream. Jackie knew she was dead as soon as she saw Laura Lee. I’m assuming the guy is the pilot/cabin skeleton.
So after being upset that not much was happening and things were being drawn out too much I’m glad we got so much resolution/things tied up in the finale. Oh wait lol imagine had this not been renewed? Like wtf.
I'm interested to see what Misty's relationship to Lottie's cult is going to be in both the past and the present. The ending of the flashback arc presented her as being one of Lottie's two top Lieutenants along with Van, in contrast with Shauna/Tai who have already had the seeds of them eventually splitting with Lottie planted. In the pilot Nat's very first assumption is that Misty is the one behind the postcards with the symbol and is 100% ready to kill her on the spot. At the same time though she made it out of the wilderness them, and is clearly willing to protect the others and kill/torture whoever is behind the symbol as well
Someone on Reddit suggested Mary Elizabeth Winstead as adult Lottie and now i'll be upset if they cast anyone else.
Imagine if Lottie is still out in the woods running the cult from an HQ but also has people going out to civilization handling business, etc
My guess is Mari. Only named character that matches the description that we don't have confirmation that they survived yet. Also that spat she had with Misty was for a reason, I assumed it was the planting the seeds of them eventually turning on her. I'm wondering if in season 2 if some of these rando background survivors we become named characters because I can see them running out of characters in the wilderness arc quick lol
Yeah, she's the only one that makes sense now really. I can see that happening lol. Like a small group that went in a totally different path at the crash sight
For pit girl, there’s a theory that that scene is actually present day and pit girl is Callie. I don’t think that’s the case but would be pretty crazy
In the pilot that scene was intercut with similar scene with young Misty that made it look like it was the same moment. Maybe two different scenarios intercut together as a misdirection? Also there was a masked figure standing over pit girl in Van's t shirt.
Most fun I’ve had watching a new season of TV in quite some time. I do wish this was a 2-3 season show and I’m still not sure that I love the way the present-day story is unfolding….The mysteries I’m interested in are the more personal ones about just how fucked up these characters are — but the larger mysteries and all the running around trying to figure them out aren’t captivating me nearly as much as learning what happened in the wilderness. The ending was devastating and it was fitting that Jackie’s death was so arbitrary and avoidable. But I can’t help but think it’s a little too dumb that every single one of them went to bed allowing her to sleep outside, especially when they’ve already been attacked by wolves and literally just encountered a bear. I know they’re young and dumb and Coach Ben isn’t exactly the best adult leader but still, that was bad guys lol.
Lottie commanding Ben to, “Stay out of this, Coach,” was so chilling. Also—so many great lines in this episode but, “Torsos are useless, duh,” was probably my favourite.
Very good season. I thought i was sick of mystery box stuff, but i am deeply in for season 2. I was just watching a Jacob Geller video earlier about how easy it is to freeze to death, which i think is not widely known and its feasible that the kids (minus Misty, presumably) would not think to look out for Jackie.
