absolutely love yellowcard (as my emotional state this week is showing), but I would say JEW are more consistent. I don't even know what a wreck I'll be when JEW eventually retire. But at least for order of records, I pretty much agree with your list.
So technically this has been over the past seven days but really it's been the past two days. Don't judge me
Going to the Amsterdam show aswell, but i didn't see anything about vip packages? Do you have a link? I'm curious.
@Jason Tate thanks for embedding the podcast right in here. Perfect. Gonna read that article, listen to the podcast, and probably end up crying. I hope I get my pre-order package early. Tomorrow would be
So I would love to hear what Yellowcard song has touched you the most? I would say Lift a Sail for me. The lyrics are so encouraging and hopeful and the song hit me right at the perfect time. Ive also felt really touched by Surface of the Sun.
If you have never heard the b-side Promises, PLEASE listen to that song as soon as you can. One of my all time favorites from the band!
I've talked a lot of shit since and about LAS, but they will always be THAT band to me and I'm not sure if I'm ready to listen to this.
and like that a beautiful final album, tarnished by the goddamn people who got the thing early. luckily for me i do a decent job of staying away from album leaks
It'd be amazing if they closed out the show I went to with "Gifts and Curses". Think it's easily my favorite.
Waiting to listen to the leak till later so I'm continuing through their back catalog. City of Devils is a cool song.
Haha! So many people on here going to the Amsterdam show! I'll be there too, I'm coming all the way from Romania for this! Maybe I'll see you guys around. ^^ You can find the VIP tickets on their homepage Yellowcardrock.com, there's the VIP sign to the right of the Amsterdam show. I assume the album and all the other materials will be sent to us through mail. Either that, or we pick them up at the venue. Also, this is my first post on this forum, although I've been checking this thread regularly for a few years now. I'm not gonna start saying how much I love the band and how much their music has helped through the years, because I couldn't possibly add something more than what was already said by others. I will say though that I couldn't help it and I listened to the leaked album. It's a masterpiece! Seriously. I got some dust in my eyes the first time I listened to it... I think it's one of their best albums, although the fact that it's their last may have led to this deeply emotional state. My favorites are "A place we set afire", "Savior's Robes" and "Fields and Fences". Can't wait for all you guys to listen to this record. It's gonna be mindblowing. Edit: I tried to multiquote the post(s) I replied to. Well, it didn't work. I'm a noob, I know. :)
Thanks to you both for the link! Gonna be a great night indeed. It's gonna be my first time seeing them live, so it will be a bittersweet experience for sure!
Just listened to One Year, Six Months... the emotions and memories tied up in that song are hard to sum up. One of those songs that instantly transports you somewhere else, and this song does that for me more so than any other song I can think of. So ready for this record to drop tonight.
If anyone still needs ONE FOR THE KIDS on vinyl, hit me up. I'm selling mine. It comes with a 7" of "Rough Draft" too. PM me if you're interested.
Does anyone here have a YC tattoo? I've been wanting one for a looooong time but I've been waiting and now since it's their last album I think the time has come. Just unsure what I want to get.
I'm planning on one. I want the logo they've had post-hiatus and then at the bottom have the old X logo. I have thought about also having Be Strong Believe on it too but yeah I want the logo
