This is exactly what I hoped for on the last track. Excited. Also that line from "Savior's Robes" is cool. I can relate to it in another way. When I'm outside and there's only that shitty edm music everywhere, I'm always screaming for old hits, haha.
that drummer is probably the first tour drummer they'll have to technically be able to play LP's drum fills and beats in a respectable way.
Just watch a few videos. This one for example: He doesn't get the fills right, especially the ones from their older albums (but I'm sure he fits the style of Thursday well)
Does Ryan's live voice bug anyone else a little? Always sounds kinda whiney/squeaky. Maybe those aren't the best adjectives to describe what I mean but it always catches my ear. He can hit the notes and everything but his delivery is way different.
I am one of the biggest sticklers I'm aware of when it comes to fill-in drummer is playing parts "correctly" and I couldn't find one thing to complain about during lights and sounds or way away.
Really bummed Cleveland doesn't have a date for this final tour. Going to really miss these guys. Anyone know what the members are going to do post-Yellowcard? I'm guessing Ryan is going to write and produce at his new studio. I'm guessing Mendez will go back to AZ and produce? What about Sean and Josh?
Josh and Key live together so i'm sure they'll work together in some fashion. Sean will likely be focusing on his family.
Mendez has been quite active in the latest months posting photos he took, so he might do something related to it?
The fact that they had Tucker from Thursday fill in for them shows they know who to get for drumming. Tucker might be the best drummer from this scene and he did an amazing job.
The Hurt Is Gone is slowly becoming one of my favourite Yellowcard songs. Should I check out Lift A Sail? I've listened to every Yellowcard release but I wasn't feeling the direction they were going in at the time with some of the singles.
