I can't imagine that the LP issue is drug related since other members have had their fair share of a past. But maybe that would be why they wouldn't want him around.....honestly, I don't know. I could not even begin to name my top 10 songs to good on ya to everyone who can but otherwise this thread has just been full of absurd assertions.
I'm gonna try to not over think this. 10. Transmission Home 9. Rough Draft 8. Breathing 7. With You Around 6. Rough Landing, Holly 5. Keeper 4. Date Line (I Am Gone) 3. Only One 2. Holly Wood Died 1. Back Home HM: Firewater
1. Hang You Up 2. Ocean Avenue 3. Always Summer I'm only sure of the first 3. After that everything lies so close. Would be a poor attempt to rank.
Still not solid on anything outside the top 3, and even then there's some wiggle room.. The Takedown Five Becomes Four With You Around Rough Draft Firewater Cut Me, Mick October Nights 3. Avondale 2. 3 Flights Down 1. Back Home
1. Back Home 2. Southern Air 3. The Sound of You and Me 4. Always Summer 5. Lift a Sail 6. Ocean Avenue 7. Rest in Peace 8. MSK 9. You and Me and One Spotlight 10. Illuminate HM: One Year, Six Months
It's interesting: Southern Air is my favorite Yellowcard album, but I would probably hit two more Lift a Sail songs before I got to my next Southern Air song.
Gonna change this up. I think I made a perfectly flowing collection of rainy day/more emotional songs and i'm kinda proud of it. Try to give it a listen if you can. 1. Empty Apartment Acoustic - Yellowcard 2. Down In The Valley - The Head and The Heart 3. Visions - The Maine 4. Maps For The Getaway (Canyons Version) - Andrew McMahon 5. Hold No Guns - Death Cab for Cutie 6. Raining In Paris - The Maine 7. Tompkins Square Park - Mumford and Sons 8. Sailboat - Ben Rector 9. Red Eyes - Switchfoot 10. City of Black and White - Mat Kearney I particularly think the first half is awesome and flows super well.
Going to try making a youtube playlist of these soon, not sure how to do it but i'm sure i'll figure it out.
Such an amazing track. I also love Imaginary Numbers from the Maine, especially the two tracks I put on the playlist.
1. Hollywood Died 2. The Takedown 3. Be The Young 4. Paper Walls 5. Cut Me Mick 6. Back Home 7. Down on My Head 8. Awakening 9. Surface of the Sun 10. Lift a Sail
That said. PW, SA, and LaS title tracks are probably my 3 favorite YC tracks not named You Me and One Spotlight
Yeah good point, I don't know how I forgot about California. I don't really see it fitting anywhere else on the album. Imagine how jarring that'd be as an opener lol
In no particular order: The Takedown Cut Me, Mick Date Line (I Am Gone) Southern Air Sleep In The Snow Be The Young One Year, Six Months Believe View From Heaven The Sound of You And Me That was tough.
I just noticed I didn't have any WYTTSY on my top 10. I really like that album but idk, doesn't stick with me like the others
The electronic flourishes on LaS are really nice touches though. Super excited for LP8, Hoping for a darker rock album. One last little experimentation before they hang it up
It's not a bad album by any means, but in the talk of their whole discography I don't think it holds up and is at the bottom.
