Speaking of Love Drunk, got a piece about the first Boys Like Girls record coming up in August.

 

Reach for the Sun contends for my all time top five, so it would probably top this list if we added 2009.

 

Holy shit, is that record ten years old?

..... this is the first "I feel old moment" I've had.

 

Did that overtake War Paint for you?

I can't believe The Black Parade is almost 10. all these damn albums turning 10.

 

Yep, it is. That one is pretty fascinating to me. I enjoyed writing about it. I think I like Love Drunk more though.

Yeah, I think so. It's hard to say, honestly. I think it's more solid top to bottom and probably has my favorite TDS songs.

 

Mine would pretty much just be my top 15 of all time, ha.

 

FANSD is another good one from 09. Great year.

War Paint has higher highs but RFTS is more consistent to me

 

but without The Smiths.

 

In a year I'll be doing one on Chase This Light, and that's fucking strange.

 

So we gonna do 2000-2009? Can we make it top 20 that'll make my life easier

 

ha, I feel the opposite, RFTS has my two favourites but I don't care for about 4 songs on it whereas I love almost every song on WP and at least like them all.

 

If I'm doing 2000-2009 I'm gonna need to limit it to one per artist or Kamelot/Fightstar and My Chem are taking up half the list.

That took me down to number 33 on my all time list, ha.

 

I'm so biased towards the 2000's.

 

RFTS blows away War Paint for me but I know i'm kinda in the minority there. I also prefer the Boys Like Girls self titled -- but think highly of both, as can be seen in the list I just posted.

BLG is weirder to me since I listened to it when it came out, whereas I discovered every JEW album later.

 

To be honest, I was not even close to including a single one of those. I'm really surprised.

 

I reserve the right to be possibly forgetting stuff, since I just went based on what's in my iTunes.

 

I think the Boys Like Girls selftitled is way, way better than anything else they put out, ha.
