Kind of fascinating that, with how much we all chat and like a lot of the same bands, I only share one with each of you. Still love a lot of these records though.
16. The 1975 - The 1975 17. Cartel - Collider 18. Motion City Soundtrack - Go 19. Taylor Swift - Speak Now 20. Mew - +- 21. Hostage Calm - Die on Stage 22. Kacey Musgraves - Pageant Material 23. Yellowcard - Lift a Sail 24. The Hotelier - Goodness 25. The Dangerous Summer - Golden Record 26. Mayday Parade - Monsters in the Closet 27. The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten 28. fun. - Some Nights 29. Death Cab for Cutie - Codes and Keys 30. Every Time I Die - From Parts Unknown
Some more good stuff. I think I like less of this one though, ha. We have one more match with fun. though and Goodness and 1975 were both in consideration for my last two spots.
Ranking these was super hard and honestly the ordering is fairly close to arbitrary. It's too difficult to make it exact
oh man if we included 2009 I'd have a good amount from that year. RFTS wouldn't be one of them, haha.
Some things really surprise me looking at this second list. I didn't expect the Hostage Calm, Mew, or Death Cab records to be so high up.
Then I could include another All Time Low album!!! Plus, then you'd have to deal with Love Drunk joining my top 30.
It's grown on me so much over the past year and a half. Would've liked to put Narrow Stairs there but a bit too early
I'm not thrilled looking at my 16-30, actually. I dunno, figured it'd turn out differently than that. My top 15 is still perfect though.
Yeah if we included 2009 then RFTS, METN, and Daisy would've been on there. I feel like I'm missing something else from 09
I'd add Reach for the Sun, Nothing Personal, and Love Drunk to my top 30. The first two would probably make my top 15.
I also just want to say you're all doing it wrong and have disappointed me greatly for not including Foxing
Also Fightstar, Mae, Morrissey, Relient K, Imogen Heap, There Will Be Fireworks, Deas Vail. A lot of wonderful albums from 2009.
Go back to 2007 and both Chase This Light and Paper Walls make top five. And Linkin Park most likely slides into the top 15!!!
I like them about even. I'd give them like 6/10. Solid stuff, I enjoy it when it's on but I'm probably not going to listen to either of them ever again, haha.
