Well hello! You should give SOTY a chance, if not live next time they come to the Pageant then at least youtube their album "The Black Swan" The F off and Dies have the best Christmas album of all time you can download for free as well, I suggest that. It's hilarious.
I do enjoy the Fuck Off and Dies quite a bit, and they're always fun to see live. I'll check out some SOTY and let you know how it goes.
Did Yellowcard perform at the APMAS? Had no idea. I wonder if they'll try to do a TV tour with their last album...? Have they done something like that in the past?
I would have guessed that one along with the taste of ink, blue and yellow and the bird and the worm.
So this is returning to the topic a couple pages ago but oh well. I really think Ocean Avenue is the perfect closer. Not just because it's the song that everyone knows best but ... When I saw them on their acoustic tour back in the day, I knew it was their last tour before their hiatus. At the time I thought that was it, they were done. The lyrics "I remember the look in your eyes/ when I told you that this was goodbye/ you were begging me not tonight/ not here not now" etc. .....they really hit like a punch in the gut. I was crying hysterically (I was also like 16 so leave me alone) and that's why I think it makes a great final song.
Idk, from the videos I've seen of their more recent shows, they didn't play any of the very fast songs.
They played a bit of "Rest in Peace" last night at the APMAS's if anyone is interested I'm sure the video will be up soon.
Nice, thanks for posting. The mixing/sound is pretty terrible but I liked the little medley they did. Not convinced on RIP live yet.
Thanks so much for posting this! I think RIP sounded really good live and I also like that if they were pressed for time, they did the three song medley and then Ocean Ave.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they end up reuniting again someday. But I think 1) it's going to be awhile, if it does happen, and 2) that isn't the plan right now.
