That's true, I guess Uno and Tre aren't such bad records. That said, if I'm looking for throwback Green Day, there's no chance I'm putting on those records instead of Nimrod or Insomniac, so they rarely get played. Dos....uh, yeah. I really think "Ashley" might actually be the best song from the trilogy at this point, but it's so difficult to even get to that point in the album.

 

This is true. PS has at least like three songs I enjoy quite a bit

 

Still pretty broken up about the fact that I had to miss that 10-year tour.

I actually don't like "Ashley" at all. "Stray Heart" is probably my third favorite of the trilogy though, after "Brutal Love" and "X-Kid." Billie Joe is such a better singer now than he was back then that I actually will go for the Trilogy sometimes, when I want to hear "recent" Green Day but I'm not in the mood for a rock opera. Usually, though, I'll go for the one-disc version I made. If that had been one they released, it would probably be my third or fourth favorite Green Day album.

I think it's a decent record. Some great stuff, some not that great stuff. It's safe and lightweight, but I enjoy it when I'm in the mood for that kind of record. It's actually pretty comparable to the Green Day trilogy, imo.

 

The Busted song?

 

Say Anything's latest would be my pick for album I hate from a band I love.

 

Most of my other ideas would be from bands/artists I stopped loving a while before they put out the album I hate.

 

SA would've been mine like a year or so ago but I've soured on that band so much now

 

Yeah, that was my problem with a lot of the one's I came up with. Some I still love their early material but I wouldn't say I love the band/artist. I think Say Anything has the rockiest catalogue of any band I'd call a favourite, haha. I still adore IARB/3/4 of Defense so much though and I even love Hebrews. I hope they put out a good album next time.

 

You guys really should go to a chat thread or somewhere else that isn't a band thread. It's getting annoying.

It's been like 5 pages of talk about random bands. It should be done somewhere else or in those band's threads. Not in the Yellowcard thread.

I would agree, but then why talk in the thread at all? If you wanna rank MCS and JEW albums why wouldn't you just do it in their threads? Idk, just seems strange to me. It's all good though, do what you guys wanna do. I'll probably just stay out of this thread for awhile.

 

Threads go off topic all the time. Better to have good conversation in good fun than no conversation at all.

Not sure if you were being serious or not but as a Busted mega fan who has 14 years worth of nostalgia for that song I still think that's an insane statement, haha.

It's a catchy song yeah but Motion City have way more than ten songs that are so much better than just being a catchy song. WIGTSF is one of my least favourite Busted songs honestly.

 

Well I guess this is where my non MCS fandom comes into play again ha

 

I would be more sorry if most of this thread hadn't been bad opinions about the new song and/or bad opinions about Lift a Sail.

 

We're on the same page there.
