You’ll remember where you were the first time you heard “Love Letters Lost” though.

 

I honestly thought I’d never forget that Anberlin’s “Lowborn” was recorded in different places and pieced together and now when I listen I have no idea haha.

That said, I have stopped listening to the singles for this album after the 3rd one for some reason

I’m not trying to be “pure” or pretentious at all by not listening to the singles. I will go full asd and hyperfixate on the singles ad nauseam, to the point where I will only want to skip those songs when the album comes out.

if I hold off until the whole album drops, the experience is always more enjoyable for me. It’s just a personal thing.

I’m very much looking forward to hearing everything when it drops. This rollout has been torture, but it seems to be really working out for the band, which I love.

 

Absolutely man. It makes sense as it'll heighten your enjoyment first time round.

If anyone should be criticised it's people who chase a leak especially a few days early.

I usually listen to singles, but I will defend this concept. When The Maine released “Lovely Little Lonely”, I waited until the whole record came out and listened to it on a flight to Europe. I will never forget it. The album flows perfectly and the interludes tell a story. That was an absolutely awesome experience to hear the whole record as a work of art from start to finish.

I don’t usually wait, but I do get it. In the meantime I will be blasting these singles on repeat.

 

My problem is I follow way too many acts, to the point keeping up with singles on a constant basis is impossible so I have to be picky. I don't have strict rules or anything, but if I know the album is on the shorter side (runtime or amount of tracks wise) like this one, I don't mind waiting for the release to hear the full thing. I did listen to Better Days along with the MV though.

Did the same thing with the new Between The Buried And Me, but with a different mindset for a prog band. They released a 10 min single and I didn't listen to it because with that runtime, I felt like it would spoil too much lol
