I did not know they were using video haha. Mendez was working on the main computer where I have my camera and lights etc. So I just sat in the back in the dark with my MacBook. That’s why I’m purple.

Also, Better Days hung in at #12 after the Foos came in with their new song. Somehow we stayed ahead of the new Muse song all week which is wild.

Annnnnd, Magic Kingdom surprised guests with a dress rehearsal of the parade that Mendez and I did the score for last night. So surreal seeing all the content. We will be there for the official premiere tomorrow night.

There are so many killer bridges on OA. Empty Apartment and Back Home come to mind immediately. Yellowcard, early The Dangerous Summer, and Motion City Soundtrack have always stood out in my head as bands that write especially strong bridges.

 

"Back Home" remains their GOAT for me. Love that song so much.

not to pull an inlayjay but the first used album is probably the goat scene bridge album off the top of my head. all those songs travel to such otherworldly sections

 

Used s/t easily belongs in the top 10 best albums of the early 00s from the scene.
