listening to the Underdog EP for the first time rn, I love how upfront the violin is in the mix. screaming at the end of Avondale was an unexpected but cool moment

 

“Avondale” acoustic I think is on streaming, under like a Deep Cuts EP or something? Also a good version.

I'm no expert in these things, but these tracks seem to be performing well so far on streaming? Better Days is showing 300k on Spotify as of this morning

 

I noticed this as well, seems to be off to a really hot start

 

Alongside it, I've been watching Neck Deep's latest release which came out a week before; it's at 700k, which is solid for them. They have a comparable 3.8m monthly listeners, although probably a more streaming friendly fanbase. YC's Hiding in the Light and Honest from the Jump on the Childhood Eyes EP haven't even reached 1m (criminal tbh), but that EP didn't have quite the commercial push or appeal that these new tracks do. I'm doing my part with over 100 streams each on both Better Days and honestly i already

edit: numbers will update again today, too; it should be sometime between 10am and 2pm cst. spotify can be real slow and inconsistent about it, but Mondays tend to be faster for whatever reason.

 

Better Days is at 385k as of right now from what I can see on the Artists app. Wild.

 

Better Days gives me 385k+ goosebumps every time I listen to it.

 

What’s really crazy is honestly i has 203k on Spotify. The label told us this morning that having a second track release at the same time as the single and have 70%+ the amount of streams is kind of unheard of for an artist like us. Exciting stuff

 

The artist app shows a higher number on the backend than what gets updated at the same time to Spotify I think.

 

yeah, and you get the live number for a week after, which is great for seeing how things are trending. i've been playing both tracks together when I listen because i genuinely cannot pick a favorite. I threw them into a playlist with Childhood Eyes today; it brings me indescribable joy to have seven post-2017 YC songs to listen to

 

Both tracks are strong in their own way…couldn’t really tell you which one is my favorite rn but I love them both and production is chefs kiss.
